3D Stereo
projectiondesign shows 3D stereo for 250+ people
The Norwegian college Høgskolen i Aalesund and Centre of Expertise Møre have launched a 250+ seating capacity audiotorim for showing 3D stereo imaging in the Offshore Simulation Centre. The auditorium was opened on 24th June 2005, and was attended by the Norwegian Royal family through His Highness Crown Prince Haakon. The Offshore Simulation Centre features a 6x4.5m (20x15 ft) screen, and two projectiondesign F3 SXGA+ projectors, each unit equipped with filters for stereo separation, delivered by Infitec GmbH in Germany. The passive stereo solution allows a large audience to experience true immersive visualisation with simple means, a pair of special glasses is all that it requires.

Minister of Industry
Bård Eker meets with the Minister of Industry
The Norwegian Minister of Industry, Børge Brende was a guest at Hydrolift this friday.
Brende met with Bård Eker and Hydrolift in connection with their cooperation with Nortrade. Nortrade is the official norwegian trade portal, and Hydrolift has received several enquiries, through this portal, on export and representation in several countries. During his visit the minister was given a presentation of Hydrolift / Eker Design group and Nortrade, and representatives for Innovation Norway gave a speech on how Nortade would be utilized by Innovation Norway's foreign offices.

Eker Design expand on the machinery equipment
We have lately expanded our machinery equipment, and have available capacity on CMM scanning centre for scanning of larger to small products, the CNC Milling machines for milling of all sized products. We also have FDM prototyping machines and a Vacuum Casting machine ready to perform tasks by request.

Tall Ship
Designing the Tall Ship award
Bård Eker Industrial Design was chosen to create the design for this years Tall ships race that visited Fredrikstad at the beginning of August. Stig Kristiansen and Reidar Gjølstad designed the award, which was produced by Plastkomponenter AS.

Eker Design partner with supercar-manufacturer Koenigsegg
Eker Design has teamed up with swedish Koenigsegg Automotive AB and is now delivering design, development and engineering services. This will be a strategic investment that marks the focus on car design for the future. This will be an important investment in order to further develop our design company, says CEO Bård Eker

Projectiondesign F3+ has been given the Award for Design Excellence
One of Bård Eker's products has once again received the coveted Award for Design Excellence. The Projectiondesign F3+ has been given the award this year. The F3 follows the long line of Bård Ekers products to receive the award. Amongst others he has received the same award for Hydrolifts S-24 and C-31, Stokke Xplory and projector F1.
