The first out of ten rescue vessels

The first of the ten rescue vessels of the new Staff class was today baptized at Hankø Marina . RS “Einar Staff SR” will be stationed in the Oslo area and another four boats will later be built and stationed in Lillesand, Trondheim, Sognefjorden and Skjeberg.

The Staff Class are fast jet-powered rescue vessels developed and built by Eker Design AS and the renowned boat manufacturer Hydrolift AS in close cooperation with the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue.

In addition of being an innovative, efficient and a fast running vessel this new class also has great towing capacity and the possibility of carrying a watercraft. State of the art navigation equipment VHF, double chart plotters, radar and thermal imaging camera is also included.
