Prototyping

In the previous century we began investing in new machines and techniques to help us to optimize our process and get the most out of our 3D files. We use prototypes to physically review and test the product so that we can identify and resolve errors at an early development stage, which is both time and cost effective!

 

Our extensive in-house facilities and trained staff are able to make all sorts of prototypes, test samples and working samples, before the startup of production tools, molds, fixtures, electronics and optics. The prototypes are used throughout the development process for environmental tests, market approvals, heavy end user tests and product documentation baselines. We also deliver plugs and molds to composite production.

CNC machining

Our CNC milling machines creates parts with high finish and high tolerance demands. Plugs and molds for low volume parts in materials such as carbon- and glass- fiber can be manufactured directly.

 

The 5-axis CNC milling machine can machine parts in Al and Mg with work piece size 400 x 400 x 300 mm, while our large scale 3-axis CNC milling machine can machine parts in PUR or wood with work piece size 6000 x 3000 x 1200 mm.

The equipment is capable of scanning small precise parts such as optical interfaces and large size products, such as cars, boats, trains, airplanes etc. Our skilled team use the equipment to obtain the desired shape and convert it into 3D-files for the engineering and product development team. By using CAD Compare we can easily compare the physical model against the 3D model and find deviations on complex geometry that are usually impossible to measure.

Vacuum casting

Vacuum casting allows us to manufacture functional prototypes in small series of either handmade models or 3D printed models in silicone, hard plastic or rubber. Doing this allows us to speed up the testing phase of a new product, and perform tests and design modifications at the same time as we are finalizing tool making and production set-up.
