3D Stereo

The Norwegian college Høgskolen i Aalesund and Centre of Expertise Møre have launched a 250+ seating capacity audiotorim for showing 3D stereo imaging in the Offshore Simulation Centre. The auditorium was opened on 24th June 2005, and was attended by the Norwegian Royal family through His Highness Crown Prince Haakon. The Offshore Simulation Centre features a 6×4.5m (20×15 ft) screen, and two projectiondesign F3 SXGA+ projectors, each unit equipped with filters for stereo separation, delivered by Infitec GmbH in Germany. The passive stereo solution allows a large audience to experience true immersive visualisation with simple means, a pair of special glasses is all that it requires.
